We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Food Connection, both online and offline, on any Platform ("Platform", includes the Food Connection website), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors' information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

Food Connection

Food Connection was founded in Asheville, NC in 2015 and has since rescued and delivered over 650,000 surplus Chef-prepared meals from Asheville-area chefs to our commuity members in need.

Hurricane Helena

No one could imagine anything as destructive as this hurricane. Buncombe County and Western North Carolina was already severely suffering with food insecurity. This event has now left our neighbors in complete desperation for food.

Rural Relief Meals

In response to the devastation of Hurricane Helena, Food Connection is actively connecting Asheville-area Chef Prepared meals to rural communities through our RURAL RELIEF MEALS effort. We are relieved to see other partner organizations actively providing meals within the city of Asheville to the neighbors we serve. Because of this need is being met for city residents we see that our services are most needed in our outlying, rural communities such as Leicester, Fairview, Candler, Swannanoa and beyond.

Mobilizing - Taking Meals into Communities

We have mobilized “Fran” our Free Food Truck to take fresh, nutritious meals directly to our neighbors in harder to reach places. Your donation to the RURAL RELIEF FUND will help us continue and expand these efforts in areas where people are desperate for food and water.
