Your donation to Food Connection's Relief Meals effort will help feed Helene Survivors in Asheville and Western North Carolina. VENMO: @FoodConnection
No one could imagine anything as destructive as this hurricane. Asheville and Western North Carolina residents were already suffering with some of the highest rates of food insecurity in the nation. This event has now left tens of thousands of our neighbors in dire need of food and water.
In response to the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Food Connection is actively delivering meals to the hardest hit communities through our RELIEF MEALS efforts. We are bringing meals directly to the people in Asheville neighborhoods as well as to outlying, rural communities such as Leicester, Fairview, Candler, Swannanoa and more.
For those in the Asheville area who cannot access the central food distributions we have mobilized “Fran” our Free Food Truck to take fresh prepared meals directly to our neighbors in these hard to reach places.Your donation to the RELIEF MEAL FUND will help us continue these efforts for as long as the need for food and water persists. Thank you for your generous support!
Food Connection was founded in Asheville, NC in 2015 and has since rescued over700,000 surplus Chef-prepared meals and delivered them to our neighbors in need in Asheville and Western North Carolina.
THANK YOU to all who joined us at Sierra Nevada Mills River Brewery to support Food Connection with a special concert at the outdoor amphitheater.
